Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Vaccinations Current

Parker is a very sweet boy who was rescued by a good Samaritan and it is very evident that he has had a very rough life. He has undoubtedly been very abused and has come a very long way in a relatively short time. When he first got into rescue he was extremely hand shy, was afraid to take treats, and waited until all the other dogs have eaten before he would begin to eat. He is learning how to be a dog. He did not know how to be in the house and once he learned he could actually sleep in the big bed with a blanket, he was a little dog in heaven. He is so very starved for attention and will drink in all you will give. Even after everything ... (Read More)he has been through this little guy has the sweetest disposition and even though it may take him a bit to warm up to someone, he loves everyone. Parker would do best in a quiet home where someone is home most of the time, and has another young dog to play with. He gets along with most other dogs and is pretty good with cats. He probably wouldn't do well in a home with younger children as he is still very leary of quick movements. Even though he is making great progress, it will take time, patience and steady socializing, etc. to bring him back to a more confident state of mind.
