Cocker Spaniel    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Heartworm Positive

I have a male cocker spaniel I am in need of re-homing. Recently his 'partner' went over the rainbow bridge and he deserves better than we can give him! My husband and I have a business making it difficult for us to give him the time and attention he deserves. More about him: He is a senior cocker, age around 11. He is neutered and up to date on all of shots. He's buff in color with silky soft hair and loves baths/grooming/belly rubs. He's very gentle natured and great with kids and other dogs. He's very, very laid back and lovable, loves attention! He walks great on a leash, LOVES to play squeaky ball/fetch and is very good at it! We've ... (Read More)had him since 2006 and were told he was pure bred and 6 months old at the time but never received his papers. He does have a few quirks, so please keep reading. He is heart worm positive, otherwise in good general health (have his vet records from July 2017). He is a 'patio' dog, meaning he's been an outside dog and lives on our patio, in our fenced back yard. He's been outside since we've had him (we lived on a farm with horses before moving to Ga and his job was to patrol the perimeter (and it was great at it)). He and his partner were always outside and have loved/preferred it. I do think he could be an inside dog and would enjoy it now, with patience and attention, especially through a crating type of training. We would love to see him go to a home where he can receive the attention and love he is deserving of. We'd love to hear about him going car rides and walks, going to the park, playing ball and have snuggles. I won't allow him to go to just any home though! You need a good fence. He has a Dog-Loo dog house (but he hasn't been using it for a while now) and lots of food as well. I'm praying for the right person as this has been a hard decision and I'm his main caregiver. I am happy to send more pictures and/or video. Please contact me if you have any interest so we can chat to see if you would be a good fit and to meet him? Thank you for looking! (Less)

Meet Spike, the couch potato, who loves meeting new people and going for walks. He's lived with two other dogs in the past and knows how to maintain the harmony. Spike is very mellow, and mostly likes to sleep. He's house broken and just wants to be loved. Overall, Spike's a very well balanced dog who just wants to live out his senior life in the comfort of his own home.
