Rescue Me ID: 17-06-23-00228Kruser (male)
Kruser is new to us, so we are still getting to know him. He appears to be very lovable, but his previous owner does not recommend children or cats in Kruser's home. Kruser is neutered, microchipped, current on core vaccines and tested negative for heart worms. If you are interested in making him a part of your family, please email firstname.lastname@example.org for more information and an application. We recommend adopters be familiar with this breed, health care and grooming requirements.

Rescue Me ID: 17-06-23-00221Jeter (male)
Jeter is a great companion for an older adult or couple. We are looking for someone in GA to adopt Jeter because he developed skin allergies when we moved him from GA to PA. We have tried many remedies but feel his skin allergies are environmental. So if he moves back to GA, perhaps he will no longer suffer. We are willing to drive halfway to meet his forever owner. Please contact me for more details.

Rescue Me ID: 17-04-29-00261Lucky (male)
Lucky is a 4 year old awesome 30 lbs bundle of love and play. The results of a Wisdom panel disclosed that he is 3/4 Cocker Spaniel and 1/4 Shiba Inu. Yes, we can all see the Cocker in him, never guessed the Shiba Inu. Lucky was taken in as a puppy from our partner rescue after his owners were evicted and left Lucky and his brother behind. Shortly after Lucky was adopted by a nice family. Now he got returned. The family was trying to explain us all kinds of excuses which didn't add up and to make a long story short they just don't want a dog anymore. Lucky is an amazing boy. Once he gets settled in he loves his human dearly. His only downfall is that he is barking at strangers which can be corrected with just a little bit of training and socialization. We are already working on it. He still needs an experienced person who has the patience to give him a bit time to settle in as he comes off a bit shy towards new people. Another dog in the house as play buddy is preferd. He is very playful and loves his toys. He is cute as he can be and loves to snuggle. He is truly an amazing family dog and gets along with kids and other dogs as well. We don't know about cats. If you would like to meet Lucky, please send us a message to learn more about our adoption process and to receive an application We are only able to meet with pre approved applicants since we do not have a shelter available to the public. DO NOT FILL OUT AN APPLICATION ONLINE! Only via e mail can you receive the proper forms from us His adoption fee is $ 350 which includes all his vaccines, heartworm test, neuter and micro chip. |Rescue Me ID: 17-04-01-00091Jax ($25 adoption fee) (male)|
Arrival date March 22, 2017 (2 yrs old at intake) Mild heartworm. Treatment to begin Apr and can go home once it is complete. Jax is a pekingese/spaniel mix with amber eyes that seem to always hold a look of sadness. He was pulled from Animal Control after being relinquished from an older owner who was unable to physically care for him and keep him safe. He has a gentle spirit which is grateful for attention and especially of caressing touch. He is still quite confused and uncertain about the changes in his life and will keep his fluffy tail tucked between his legs until he is able to relax. Our newly launched website http://smithgallhumanesociety.org/ has all info regarding adoption polices and procedures under tab 'All Adoptable Animals'. Please read them before applying. A fill-able application form under same tab can be completed and submitted online. All of our residents require an adopter approval process as we strive to place them in homes which will meet their needs and keep them safe. We do not ship nor transport our residents. Approved adopters must come to the shelter to accompany their new family member on the journey home. Charles Smithgall Humane Society (CSHS) is a 'No kill' shelter which provides quality care and the medical services of spay/neuter-all vaccines, deworming, vet exam, standard disease testing and monthly heart worm prevention treatment for dogs. Animals in our care remain safe with us until adopted. Animals are primarily owner relinquished. The facility usually is operating at full capacity with a list of animals waiting for space to open. Adoption hours are Tues-Sat 10-4 and Sun 1-4. Contact or visit CSHS, 4823 Helen Hwy. 75N, Sautee, GA 30571, phone: 706-865-4135 email: email@example.com . The shelter is located 4 miles south of the alpine town of Helen in the NE Georgia mountains. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-03-17-00194Carlos (male)
Carlos is an 11 year old brown Cocker Spaniel. I have had him since he was 10 weeks old and is a family dog. I am recently divorced and am not able to care for him or spend the time with that he deserves. He is a very loving and very good with kids. He is and inside dog and is house trained. His expenses are around $110 per month not including vet visits. $50 for grooming and $60 for food per month. He has only eaten Royal Canine food his entire life. Other foods cause him to have diarahea. I want him to go to someone who can afford to take care of him and spend plenty of time with him. Any other question feel free to ask. He is a great dog. Ill put some pictures up soon. Thanks. (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Georgia if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
