Animal ID: 15-04-15-00464Dixie (female)

Cocker Spaniel    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Heartworm Positive

This sweet little girl showed up on my doorstep. I took her to my vet. He did a heartworm test and she tested positive. He wormed her with a heart guard. He kept her a few days and after posting her picture on Facebook, the owner came forward but decided they did not want her back. She can be treated with a $5 tablet each month for 12-15 months to treat the heartworms. She is 9 years old and has never been spayed. She has had to live in a small pen all of her life. Won't someone give her a good, loving home for the few years she has left? I cannot prove that she is purebred but the vet says she is.
