Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Somewhat Dominant
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Let us get this out of the way first and foremost, this boy is smart and confident and he will only be placed in a home with a very dog savvy and very experienced adults. Skyler is a real love, he is sweet, happy, bouncy, playful, engaging...everything you would want. BUT-he is a cocker and anyone that has had a number of them in their lives knows they can be a bit dominant. Skylar will try to do that if you are not in charge. He was adopted once from a shelter, and once from the rescue and the people let him settle in way too quickly and take control, we are talking a matter of a couple of hours and then he was returned. In his foster home ... (Read More)he has not been allowed that luxury, he is not top dog. Once he realizes that then all is well and he can settle in and let his people run the show. Skyler is very affectionate, very loving and playful but he will only be adopted to someone that understand the needs of a dog that needs a strong and assertive person in his life. We adore Skyler, he is delightful, but not for a beginner. (Less)
