|Rescue Me ID: 16-12-06-00624Chessie (female)|
Meet adoptable Chessie, ia 6-9 month old Cocker Spaniel. She is all puppy wiggles and energy. She is almost completely house trained. We think that Chessie had little socialization before BWR because she still needs to learn a lot of manners when it comes to sharing with other dogs. She is getting along with her furry foster brother after a slow intro and lots of supervision, so she can be in a home with another dog her size with the right introduction! Chessie loves going for walks and would love someone to teach her to be polite on leash. She is also working on crate training and calms down great when left alone. She is looking for that special forever family, please email email@example.com if you are interested! (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 16-11-19-00376Georgio (male)|
Georgio is an adorable, playful, spunky and punky, two-year-old, 14-pound, male, black and white spaniel-mix looking for a loving guardian. Georgio has a few canine friends, but he is a bit bossy with most of the other dogs at the shelter. So, he's looking for a home as the one and only dog. He is incredibly agile, athletic and would make a great agility or trick dog! He loves his dog bed, toys and balls. He is housebroken and crate-trained. Georgio's adoption fee of $300 benefits the rescued pets of Tails of Hope. He is healthy, neutered, de-wormed, up-to-date on vaccines, micro-chipped, heartworm-tested, and on monthly heartworm preventative. He is currently at the Tails of Hope Shelter in Highland Park, Illinois. To meet and possibly adopt Georgio, please fill in the adoption application at: http://tailsofhope.org/availabledogs.html and follow up by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org or 847-557-9554. |Rescue Me ID: 16-11-03-00221Andre 5500 (male)|
Andre 5500 is a very chill and relaxed companion! I got him when he was 5 months old and he's been my best friend ever since! His true downfall is his love for food (he can be on the verge of becoming obese.) He has had a TECA (total ear canal ablation) surgery completed on both of his ears and is 'supposedly' deaf, however, he still answers to me. He has sensitive skin and tends to 'break out' after visiting groomers so very early on I learned to groom him myself! I have never meta dog who likes taking baths but Andre 5500 at least stands still for me to finish bathing him! He is sorta distinguished...he prefers to pee and poop on the sidewalk/concrete and he can't stand to get dirty so he avoids puddles and mud (very much of an inside dog!!!) (Less)

*MUST LIVE IN 50-MILE RADIUS OF ITASCA (A SUBURB OF CHICAGO) WITHIN THE ILLINOIS BORDER TO ADOPT, NO EXCEPTIONS* Howdy! Are you looking for a sweet little guy who would love to be your lap dog and keep you endlessly entertained? You are in luck! My name is Doug, and I am a 1.5-year-old Tibetan Terrier mix. I am only 14 pounds so I fit perfectly on all laps for cuddle sessions, and I am super handsome: you could call me salt and pepper-colored, or black with lots of light highlights. And my warm chocolate eyes will melt your heart. Fetching Tails Foundation saved me when I was found locally as a stray and my previous owners never tried to claim me. Since moving into my foster home, I have settled in well to my routine of cuddling a lot and playing a lot with my loving foster family. I am shy at first so it take me a little time to trust new friends, but once I know you will love me I will be your best friend forever. My favorite activities including playing with my favorite stuffed-animal toys (I love to toss my toys over my back so I can keep chasing them!) and snuggling on the couch or in bed with my humans while we watch some TV or catch some zzzz's. So I would love a person who wants the whole package: a dog to spend lots of time playing with, but will also be happy to let me curl up on your lap when all my energy is spent. When I think of my forever home, I think I would love to be your one and only furry companion. I just love all your attention for myself, and have more than enough affection to give you in return. I would also like a human or two who will be patient while I come out of my shell and continue to work on my house manners. I am working hard on potty training at my foster home, but still have room for improvement; I am getting used to a having a potty schedule and have made great strides already! Fetching Tails likes to encourage all adopters to take a few training classes with their new pets, and I think that would be great. It could help me continue to boost my confidence, and I think we would have a lot of fun learning new things together! I would also love for my humans to be home more often than not; like I said I just love being around my people as much as possible! If a cuddly and funny, snuggly and goofy affectionate little friend is what you have been longing for, please get in touch with my friends at Fetching Tails soon and let them know you would like to give Doug his 'happy tail!' Love and snuggles, Doug If interested please fill out an application on our website at www.fetchingtailsfoundation.org or if any questions please email us! Adoption Requirements: *Be at least 21 years of age *Have the knowledge and agreement of all adults living in the household *Have approval from owner of residence (written in lease) *Have a valid ID with current address *Be approved as a suitable adoptive home by Fetching Tails Foundation *Be prepared to make a lifetime commitment *Lives in 50 mile radius of Itasca within the Illinois border Adoption Fees: Senior dog - 8 years and up, $75 Adult or young dog - 6 months to 7 years, $250 Puppies - under 6 months, $350 (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Illinois if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
