Woody is a 4-year-old Cocker Spaniel, weighs 40 lbs, is a happy go lucky kind of guy that likes cuddles and being with you wherever you are. He loves to go for walks and is a gentleman on car rides. Woody's ideal adopter will have experience with Cocker Spaniels since he can be a bit hard headed, have a fenced in yard or be an active outdoor person that likes to go for walks. He does not get along with children, so an adult only home is required. Woody does get along great with other dogs, but it is not known if he will do well with cats. Woody is neutered, microchipped, Heartworm negative & up to date on all vaccines. Streethearts Animal Rescue always tries to find a lost dog's owner during their stray hold & for some time after during their vetting process before placing a dog up for adoption. Most all dogs that are in this rescue are found lost, running or abandoned are not microchipped or spay/neutered (vaccine status is always unknown). They are very often in poor health, emaciated, injured or Heartworm positive when they are rescued. Usually, more often than not, the owner is not found which we sometimes see as a blessing to the dog that obviously was not well taken care of. We sometimes have dogs that are surrendered to us. Streethearts Animal Rescue always strives to find the very best homes for our rescue dogs, fitting them to the right potential new owner. We take care of all their vetting & medical needs prior to being available for adoption. The breed we post is most often pure speculation from the dog's appearance & could not be truly identified with accuracy without a DNA test. We operate from donations only & always welcome any financial help anyone can offer to assist with the care of these misplaced dogs needs. Donations can be made with PayPal to email@example.com (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
