|Rescue Me ID: 14-07-08-00037Toby (male)|
Toby is a 3yr old male cocker. He is great with kids and adults. He has just recently been introduced to cats. Unfortunately, I have to get rid of him due to not having a fenced yard any longer. He loves to be outside and run but he is always ready to go to bed and lay at the end. He is a really great dog. We love him and want to see him go to a good home.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-06-29-00011Bosley (male)|
DOB: 4/24/11 Approx. Weight: 20 Lbs. $175 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! Bosley originally came to Furry Kids' as a puppy and was returned as a young adult. The family was worried that the high activity of young children in the household made him nervous and was causing him stress. We were told Bosley's mother was a Cocker Spaniel and we do not know what his father was, possibly Chihuahua, Pug, or Min Pin? Bosley is now in a foster home with many other dogs. He is curious and friendly and is really starting to have some fun. Bosley is housebroken and crate trained. He is very well behaved and is a pretty laid back guy. He does like to play fetch and does enjoy investigating in the back yard. He would do best with a fence to keep him safe and his nose in line! Bosley does growl at other dogs who approach his crate when he is eating, but that is not uncommon. His foster Mom said that when all dogs are getting treats there are no issues. Please no small children or highly active households for Bosley. Families with teenage children or older would be best for Bosley, another companion dog would make him happy as well, but not necessary. Bosley has been neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting Bosley, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. Once I love you, I will play, cuddle and kiss you. 7. I am crate trained and housebroken! 8. I like other dogs. 9. I even like cats. 10. |Rescue Me ID: 14-06-17-00285Mr. Biggs (male)|
Mr. Biggs is a very affectionate male cocker spaniel. He would love a home with lots of attention and affection! He is not neutered, but he is very good with other dogs and not agressive at all. He has been recently groomed and is ready to find a happy forever home! He was rescued alongside his buddy Tucker, an English Toy Spaniel, and they would LOVE to be re-homed together, if at all possible, but he will be a loving pet regardless.

|Rescue Me ID: 14-04-28-00561Megan (female)|
[Read About Natural Seizure Care] Approx DOB: 04/06/2008 Approx Wht: 30 Lbs. Megan came to Furry Kids' from a local shelter that was overly full. Megan also was having some health issues, as well as being Heartworm positive. The lady at the shelter expressed to us what a wonderful dog Megan was and hoped we could help her to get healthy and have a second chance in life! Megan has been treated for Heartworms and she has recovered from the treatment and is now Heartworm free! She is now on the monthly preventative to prevent getting this horrible disease ever again! Megan also was experiencing seizures and has a limp in her back leg sometimes. Megan's foster Mom, took her to MU Veterinary Hospital in Columbia to have her tested by the experts and to formulate a plan to manage her seizures. After several months and some trial and error, Megan's seizures are now controlled! She takes meds 2x a day (AM & PM) and the cost is less than $20 per month! As for her limp, Megan does have a disc in her back that is slightly out of place but this doesn't stop her! Sometimes she takes pain meds if she is hurting but that is not all of the time. Now for the good part! Megan is absolutely the sweetest dog ever, she is loving, gentle and she would do fine in a home with dogs or cats....she has a gentle nature and the happiest personality you will ever meet, her tail is always wagging and she looks like she is smiling all the time. Give this wonderful girl a chance......she has some health issues but they are under control and she is worth a look or even a meet because you will fall in love with her. Megan has been spay, current on vaccinations, microchipped and tested negative for heartworms. Please fill out a application at www.furrykidsrefuge.org, click on the 'Adopt A Dog' icon and a dedicated volunteer will be in touch. Thank you for reading Megan's bio !! (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
