|Rescue Me ID: 15-07-07-00531Maddie (female)|
Approx, DOB: 03/25/08, Approx. Weight: 29 Lbs. $175 adoption fee includes a 2 week trial to ensure everyone's happiness! MADDIE HAS AN OUTSTANDING PERSONALITY !!! Maddie was found as a stray in a small KS town. A nice volunteer at the shelter saved Maddie and arranged to get her rescue! Maddie is a 6-7 year old Cocker Spaniel. Maddie was most likely a 'dumped' breeder dog. She looks like she has had a litter recently, and most likely was bred multiple times. She is very friendly and loves people! Maddie was initially not 'dog' socialized when she went to her foster home, but things have changed dramatically over the last 6 weeks! She now gets excited to see a new foster come home with her foster Mom! Maddie is truly a doll and is so loving and a great snuggle bug! She really does have a wonderful, endearing personality, and of course the happy Cocker wiggle butt which just wiggles non stop when she is happy! She would do well with school age children (no toddlers) or older. She does need work walking on a leash and she does like to follow her nose so a fenced yard would be needed for her to safely play and potty. Maddie is housebroken and crate trained! Maddie also sings when she hears police, fire or ambulance sirens drive by! Maddie has been spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, a dental and microchipped. Initially, Maddie had a Cherry eye, which was repaired as well as 2 benign tumors, which were removed. Maddie is also on eye drops for dry eye which she may need for the rest of her life, not expensive. Maddie was also recently diagnosed with low thyroid in which she takes a daily pill for and is not expensive. If you are interested in adopting Maddie, please complete the adoption application located at www.furrykidsrefuge.org/adoptadog and a dedicated volunteer will get back to you as soon as possible. |Animal ID: 632Noah (male)|
Hi, I'm Noah. I ended up at M'Shoogy's with my two friends, Archie (dog631) and Freddie (dog633). We were all dumped together so it's believed that we all came from the same place. When we showed up it looked like we hadn't been taken very good care of for some time. With a little love and understanding we are all doing well. I'm missing an eye and see only shadows out of the other but incredibility I get along just fine. All I really need is a good person to take me home. How about it? Does that sound like you?

|Rescue Me ID: 15-05-18-00434Buster (male)|
Approx DOB: 8/2010 Approx Wht: 20 lbs Buster was recently adopted and returned to us because he attaches himself to one person and nips at everyone else in the family........this means that Buster needs a single person/couple as his forever companion, no children. $150 adoption fee From Buster's previous foster mom ...........Hi! My name is Buster Brown and I am a really loving and friendly little guy! I was found wandering the streets by a really nice lady who contacted Furry Kids to take me in. I was kind of scruffy and covered in fleas but Furry Kids didn't mind. They took me to the vet, got me all cleaned up and I got all the vetting I needed too! My foster mom thinks I might be a purebred Cocker Spaniel but I am smaller then average, height and weight. I really love people but once I get attached to one person in a family .....I'm naughty and nippy with everyone else in the family. I always want to be by that one person's side or on your lap if you let me. I would also love to snuggle in bed with you if you let me! I'm pretty happy and I wiggle and wag my tail a lot. I really don't like dogs that are larger than me (I am scared of them for some reason so I might growl at them), but I do really well with my foster Cocker cousins that are the same size as me. I would even like to be your one and only, that would probably make me happiest. I am mostly housetrained and have only had a couple of accidents, but I usually take care of my business outside and I never make a mess in my kennel. I really don't like my kennel and I usually fuss quite a bit when I have to go in it, I really don't like to be without a person by my side. My foster mom says I am a really good walker ...I walk easily on a leash, I don't pull, and I will stay by your side. I haven't had much training, but I do know how to sit for treats! (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Missouri if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
