Rescue Me ID: 15-06-29-00140Jay (male)
Meet Jay! This handsome little man is a 9 week old male Cocker Spaniel Pug mix. He is super friendly and loves just about everyone and everything he meets. He loves to snuggle and wants to be with you at all times. He never turns down a good belly rub. He loves to play and is full of puppy energy. He would make a great addition to just about any family! He is currently located in Louisiana and available for pre-adoption. We do transports to NJ once a month. If you would like to have him here sooner other transport options are available and can be arranged. He can't wait to find his forever home!

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-26-00515Potroast (male)
This is Potroast. He is a 'Bocker' which is a Cocker Spaniel Beagle. He lover to play, his favorite toys are his bones and Kong ball. He is 100% house trained and walks like a pro on a leash. He loves visiting friends with fenced in yards. Potroast lives with two larger dogs and a cat and they all play lovely together. He could be a little fearful of men at first, but warms up rather quickly. He will do just about do any trick for a treat. He has a crate he likes to visit when we know guests are coming over (men). He would need an experienced dog owner, especially one with a rescue background and would also need to be on a leash while out on walks. He loves movie nights, snacks, car-rides (his second favorite to snacks) and snow days! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00729Calvin (male)
I will pay donation fee to rescue. Calvin was rescued by U.S. 5 years ago. At time were told he was 5. He was abused and in kill shelter. At rescue he was aggressive and unreliable. He is amazing now. Lovable. Easy going. Playful. Healthy for most part. Doesn't hear or see well. Well taken care of and very loved. He barks a lot so we use bark collar and that stops it. Problem is I was recently divorced and moved into condo and work full time so left alone a lot. He has started urinating in my rented condo and I can't manage him anymore.

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in New Jersey if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
