Rescue Me ID: 15-03-04-00534Gabby (female)

Cocker Spaniel    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi my name is Gabby and I am a very loyal and happy girl. I am 7 years old. My main master died 3 years ago but I still had my mistress. However, she now has health issues and can no longer live at home or take care of me so I need a new forever home - someone who will love me for who I am. I do have a few health issues - as a cocker I do have ear trouble but they are under control right now. I also have a dry eye that needs some medicine put in it once a night and when I get excited I might piddle a little, especially when I am greeting new people. But my personality makes up for my health deficiencies - I will be your most faithful ... (Read More)companion. I don't know any tricks but I come when called and can walk on a leash adn love retrieving my toys. I have been blessed being able to live on a 50 acre farm but I can do well in just a fenced yard though I spend lots of my day curled up in the house snoozing. My mistress had 3 cats that were all friends of mine. I also like my mistress' friend's dogs. I haven't been around many kids so not sure how I would do with them - may be just fine with a little older child or children. My master and mistress were in their early 70's when they adopted me and now a nice girl in her 20's is taking care of me and she plays with me and takes me on walks I really, really need someone to take me home and love me, and I promise I will give you all the love and dog licks you could ever want. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children.
