|Rescue Me ID: 15-02-15-00251Riley (female)|
Riley is a sweet sweet girl - if you are an adult. She isn't good with other dogs and isn't good with young children under 3 years old. We rescued her almost 4 years ago and she has been awesome. Unfortunately things in our lives have changed and we can no longer give her the home she deserves. She gets 3 walks a day - even this time of year. She must go to a good home.....

|Rescue Me ID: 14-11-22-00168Buddy (male)|
BMeet Buddy! Buddy is a 15 year old Cocker Spaniel who has been waiting for his forever home for over a year. Buddy is enjoying life in his foster home but would love nothing more than a home of his own to live out his golden years. Buddy is completely house-trained and can easily go a full 8 hours without any accidents. His foster parents describe him as 'a parlor dog.' Buddy will not jump up on the furniture and happily sleeps through the night on his dog bed. In fact, he even puts himself to sleep every night around 9:00pm! Buddy prefers to be inside even in the summer. When its cold out, he is very content to be wearing his argyl sweater to keep warm. Buddy does like his routine and would love a home that has a predictable schedule. He has wonderful manners both on leash and off and would make a great Sunday strolling partner. He does not mind being groomed, bathed, or having his nails clipped and stands like a champ the whole time. Buddy is great in the car as well and will usually sleep most of the way. At 15 years old, Buddy does have a few health concerns but for 15 we think he is in great shape! Buddy doesn't hear very well but he still does have hearing. He has had a few seizures, but since a change in food a few months back he has been completely seizure free. Buddy is not currently on any medications and is overall a happy boy. Buddy would do best a an only dog but may get along with another slow paced senior dog.He is neutered and up to date on vaccines along with being heart worm negative. Can you give Buddy the love he has been longing for? Buddy is currently in a foster home and not at the shelter. Please email to schedule a meet and greet. ***Buddy qualifies for our Senior for Senior program so be sure to ask about it!*** Adoptions are held every Saturday from 10-3 at our shelter (1049 Macarthur Road in Whitehall across the street from the old Lehigh Valley Dairy) For more information please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Pennsylvania if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
