Cocker Spaniel    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hey, hey you! Yes you! Now that I have your undivided attention, I would like to tell you a bit about myself. Let's start with the basics, my name is Bentley and I am 6 years young. I am a beautiful Cocker Spaniel and of course a confident guy. I can be a bit needy at times, but only because I love people and want attention. I do great with other dogs, would actually prefer to have another dog at home to be friends with. This shelter is great in all but I want a family, and a home, and someone who will love me forever.

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-17-00737Ishmael (male)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Hiiiiii!!!! My name is Ishmael. My foster family calls me Little Ish. They think that I am just the sweetest doggy. I love to snuggle and I ALWAYS roll over for belly rubs! I know to wait to do my business until I am outside. I will sleep soundly all night long in my kennel, but I love to snuggle in the bed when they forget to put me up! I like to play with other dogs of all sizes but I can be a little picky when it comes to making new friends. I walk well on the leash, and on my first trip to the dog park I made a few friends, but mostly stayed close to my foster parents. I love all humans and even got to meet my first tiny human. I tried ... (Read More)to cuddle with him since he was getting more attention than I was. I always like to be close to my humans and I get very excited when I see them. I can be a little shy when meeting new people, but if you take me home I promise I'll be a good dog and will always be happy to see you! Ishmael is a male Cavalier King Charles Spaniel / Cocker Spaniel mix. Estimated around 2 years old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that haven't had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center at our weekend adoption events. If you are interested in adopting a puppy, please fill out an application, and if approved, a meeting can be arranged. Also, we only adopt young puppies locally due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vetted. OUT OF STATE ADOPTIONS: We do allow out-of-state adoptions for dogs, however, the adopter MUST come get the dog and bring them home with them. We do not allow our dogs to be shipped. However, we only adopt young puppies locally, due to the 4 month timeframe it takes to get them fully vaccinated. NOTE: As we believe proper healthcare of one's pet is a requirement of good ownership, K-9 Angels Rescue only adopts out dogs that have been fully vetted and altered. ADOPTION FEE: $200 (includes spay/neuter, shots, microchip, medicines and other medical procedures, if necessary) ADOPTION CENTER: 5533 Weslayan St. in the Weslayan Plaza Shopping Center Houston, TX 77005 HOURS: Saturdays 10 AM - 6 PM and Sundays 11 AM - 3:30 PM Please LIKE and share our Facebook page: www.facebook.com/k9angelsrescue. Rescue Me ID: 15-08-16-00669Clover (female)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hi Everybody! My name's Clover! I am a lucky girl for being rescued by the wonderful people at K-9 Angels. When I first got to my foster mom's house, I ran around the back yard and all around the house in a victory lap! My foster mom learned quickly how agile I am, leaping up onto the bed and also over the back of the couch when she sat down. I also escaped my baby-gated room just because I want to be near her all the time and don't want to miss out on anything. My foster brother is a big intimidating dog, and I think I can get along with any dogs since I get along with him. My foster mom tells me that I am so lovable and have the cutest ... (Read More)little deer tail. You just see this little nub wagging when I am happy! I love to have my belly rubbed and cuddle right up on my foster mom when we watch TV at night. I recently had puppies, but am working on getting my pre-pregnancy figure back by being a very active girl when I am not napping. I heard I was getting 'fixed' this week and my foster mom says it's the best thing for us to continue helping to reduce the number of dogs that ended up in the situation I was in. I am so happy to be out of the shelter and to be taken care of! I am really looking forward to meeting my forever family! Clover is a female Beagle/Cocker Spaniel mix that we estimate is about 1 year old. PUPPIES: Young puppies that haven't had their second round of puppy shots will not be at the Adoption Center at our weekend adoption events. Animal ID: 2015-0807 BanditBandit (male)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

My name is 'Bandit.' Don't you just love how cute I am? I'm mostly Brittany with a little sprinkling of Cocker Spaniel (but not much). Cockers are fine, but we Brittanys are AWESOME. I am so happy to be a new member of BRIT's Brittanys and on the way to finding my forever home. I've overheard them talking about me and saying that I AM a very active boy - ready to get going '| and something about needing training. So, we all know that's not an issue. One teeny weeny thing I do need is probably an electric fence and lots of training about that. You see I've figured out to scale my prior 6-7 foot fence (piece of cake) and because I can, I ... (Read More)do - I don't go far, it's all for the fun of the challenge. I get along with other dogs, kiddos and love people - I'm sounding pretty perfect don't ya think? Oh yeah, and I'm housebroken too! Bandit has been neutered, is up to date on his shots, heartworm negative and on preventative and ready for his forever home. (Less)

 Abused/Neglected

Hello, my name is Si now that hasn't always been my name, I had a family one time. The ladies know this for sure, because I had a micro-chippie thing that told them. My previous family lived in El Paso, but they don't answer. The vet says I look older than I am because life has been ruff to me, I am 8 years old and 18 lbs. They think I am a Cocker Spaniel mix, they know I am a man dog. My skin is in poor condition, but some good food and love should fix me up. Also, my teeth look like crap, but the Vet didn't think it was from old age, he told my lady that he thinks I was kicked in the face. I am also HW+ and have a thyroid issue. I am ... (Read More)looking for a family to love me. I am good with most dogs, but sometimes get grouchy if young puppies jump in my face. But would you like young puppies jumping your face? Oh, you would, dog lovers (eye roll). (Less)

Don't you love how cute I am? Somewhere in me is some Brittany - I'm sure of it. My name is 'Wilson.' We're thinking I may be blended with a Cocker Spaniel - just not sure. But ya gotta admit I'm pretty darn cute - especially with my punk hairdo! I am so happy to be a new member of BRIT's Brittanys and on the way to finding my forever home. PIease Read Before Adopting a Cocker Spaniel in Texas
Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
