Rescue Me ID: 15-08-27-00668Junior (male)

Cocker Spaniel    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Junior... he's about 10mo old and weighs about 25lbs. These pictures make him seem to be a calm, gentle boy... well, gentle maybe. Calm... not so much. He's a very happy, always bouncing, goof of a boy that just wants to play, play, play... with his humans. He is very insecure with dogs larger than he and although he may be ok with some smaller dogs, it would be best if he were the only dog in the home. He's wonderful with kids but because of his insecurity with dogs, children must be over 12yrs old. He must have a fenced backyard in which to play and his new owner must have dog handling experience (to continue helping him learn ... (Read More)to trust other dogs). (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-08-07-00558Dempsey (male)

Cocker Spaniel Mix    Age: Puppy

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Dreamy eyed Dempsey (Patrick Dempsey). Give me time to bond and blossom, I could be just as charismatic. A month ago, all I did was hide under the bed at my foster house. But I've started to bond with my foster family and even my canine brothers and sisters. Just the other day, my foster mom introduced me to dog toys (I had never seen one before). I nudged them with my nose, they make noise. I like toys! I carried all the toys from the basket to my bed. I need some time, a calm patient family and a chance to settle in. I'm beginning to snuggle with my foster family. I like to give gentle kisses. I wouldn't hurt a fly. I'm fine with other ... (Read More)dogs, I'm even learning to ask to play. I'm freaked out by cats though, I don't get them (so I run away). Kids are fine, even babies. I just hide if I'm scared. In time I'll blossom, I know I will. Just give me a chance. Dempsey is about 1 year old and weighs 12 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, and current on combination, rabies, and bordatella vaccinations. His adoption fee is $300.     Hi! My name is: Marty I am a: Male PBGV I am about 5 years old My Adoption Fee is: $250.00 My History: Marty came to Valhalla Rescue from the Olympic Animal Shelter in Forks. We don't know why Marty was sent to OAS, but we know he was likely living in very poor conditions while he was there. Marty has done really well while at our rescue - he is learning to trust people and be comfortable in his surroundings. In April 2014, Marty took second place at the NW Grooming Show Rescue Round Up! My Health: Marty is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered and has been micro chipped. The best home for me would be: Marty absolutely LOVES attention ... (Read More)and really enjoys going on walks. He is house and enjoys being with his people. Unfortunately, and probably due to the time he spent hungry and wondering when he might get his next meal at OAS, Marty is food possessive/aggressive and needs to be the only dog in the home.Marty needs a strong, experienced owner that won't let him run the show. Do you want to meet Marty? He would love to meet you! All our dogs are in foster homes so if you would like to meet Marty in person, an approved application must be on file prior to setting up a meeting. You can fill out our online application at, It is on the 'adoption page' about half way down. If, for whatever reason, you can't access our online application please send an email to and request one be emailed to you. Once our Adoption Coordinator receives your application, we will contact you. About Valhalla Rescue: We are a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all our free hours to our dogs and finding a good match for you, so please be patient with them and our process. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A RESCUE DOG (Less)
