|Rescue Me ID: 16-01-16-00037Benjamin (male)|
Benjamin came from a high-kill shelter in California and is ready for a second shot at life. He is a super sweet 2 year old spaniel poodle mix who is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and microchipped. Benjamin weighs 16 pounds. He is a people lover, and does well with other dogs, but we haven't had him around children or cats yet, so we're not sure what he thinks of them. All of our dogs are currently in foster homes. We require interested adopters to first fill out an application for adoption before we can answer any inquiries. The application is on our website: www.aberdeenstr.com. Aberdeen Scottish Terrier Rescue is a 501(c)3 recognized charity and an all volunteer rescue. Our volunteers dedicate all their free hours to finding the best loving home for each dog. **Due to the large volume of inquiries we receive, we will not be able to respond to emails or phone calls until an adoption application has been submitted first.** (Less)

|Rescue Me ID: 15-12-31-00013Pilgrim (male)|
Hi! My name is Pilgrim and I am a wire haired cocker spaniel mix. Everyone says I am just about the sweetest old guy you will ever meet. My gentle, loving, and cuddly disposition has quickly made me a rescue favorite. I bet I could quickly become your favorite too, if you have the room on your lap, in your heart, and your home. Oh! And your couch too, I would LOVE a comfy couch! I do not see very well, probably because I have cataracts. This really does not bother me very much since I am so calm and laid back, I just enjoy life and it shows! I am neutered, up to date on my vaccinations, and will be microchipped before going home with you. Yet another benefit of adopting a dog my age is the fact that I am house broken and crate trained! My adoption fee is $250. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay and neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the rescue, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at www.valhallarescue.org and fill out an adoption application. One of our adoption coordinators will review your application, and then contact you. Our adoption process includes an in person home check which you will need to complete before we set up an appointment to meet this dog or any of the other dogs in our rescue. |Rescue Me ID: 15-03-20-00589Marty (male)|
Hi! My name is: Marty I am a: Male PBGV I am about 5 years old My Adoption Fee is: $250.00 My History: Marty came to Valhalla Rescue from the Olympic Animal Shelter in Forks. We don't know why Marty was sent to OAS, but we know he was likely living in very poor conditions while he was there. Marty has done really well while at our rescue - he is learning to trust people and be comfortable in his surroundings. In April 2014, Marty took second place at the NW Grooming Show Rescue Round Up! My Health: Marty is up to date on his vaccines, is neutered and has been micro chipped. The best home for me would be: Marty absolutely LOVES attention and really enjoys going on walks. He is house and enjoys being with his people. Unfortunately, and probably due to the time he spent hungry and wondering when he might get his next meal at OAS, Marty is food possessive/aggressive and needs to be the only dog in the home.Marty needs a strong, experienced owner that won't let him run the show. Do you want to meet Marty? He would love to meet you! All our dogs are in foster homes so if you would like to meet Marty in person, an approved application must be on file prior to setting up a meeting. You can fill out our online application at, www.valhallarescue.org. It is on the 'adoption page' about half way down. If, for whatever reason, you can't access our online application please send an email to email@example.com and request one be emailed to you. Once our Adoption Coordinator receives your application, we will contact you. About Valhalla Rescue: We are a 501(c)3 recognized charity. Our volunteers dedicate all our free hours to our dogs and finding a good match for you, so please be patient with them and our process. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A RESCUE DOG (Less)

Cocker Spaniel Dogs can make good pets in Washington if they match your IifestyIe. The American Cocker Spaniel is a sociable, sunny, affectionate breed. Cocker Spaniels are good gun dogs but are especially suited to be family pets. Cockers need human companionship, affection, and attention. Most Cocker Spaniels are wonderful around children. Cockers are usually easy to train but can be difficult to housebreak. Cockers are energetic and need lots of exercise, but can adapt well to an apartment or a home with a small yard.
